Today we will announce the highly-anticipated and much-rumored JFK-IAD E190 service, completing our entry into the lucrative Northeast business markets (JFK-BOS-IAD). Service begins Aug. 17, with 6 daily flights during the week and 5 on the weekends. Special congratulations to our IAD crew for building great Customer loyalty that makes this service possible, and makes the success of this completion of the "Northeast Triangle" in our future.

Business travelers on these routes depend on us to operate reliably and with our signature customer service. Competition for Customers is fierce, but as we've already proven on our service between JFK-BOS, and BOS-IAD, our E190 fleet, and the Airports, Inflight and Flight Crewmembers are up to the challenge. Since launching the E190 last November, our E190 technical dispatch reliability has improved greatly - the latest data shows a 97% reliability rate, which is just a point shy of our A320 stats! Thanks go to our TechOps and Flight Crewmembers for quickly identifying the quirks of a brand new aircraft, and for working with EMBRAER to resolve them quickly.

This is great news! The mainlines jacked up their fares to unprecedented levels after FlyI went under. It will be great to have some real competition on this route and not have to fly on a CRJ or an ERJ. The fares jetblue are offering and the comfort of the 190 make this route really worth the trip.

Nice $39 fares for starters! But now it is already up to $50 on many flights for what I am sure is the sign of many bookings on the route. They will do well on JFK-IAD!
