The Last Hostage by John Nance, or anything by John Nance, for that matter. Great aviation fiction.

Also, for a great history of JFK read The Airport: Terminal Nights and Runway Days by James Kaplan. Talks about its history, perspectives from airport workers, and lots of stories. I highly recommend for everyone in the forum.

Plane Insanity by Elliott Hester--funny book written by a former flight attendant..great writing style and hilarious stories. You can read it in one sitting.

I have just started reading another book of his, "Adventures of a Continental Drifter" which is more along the lines of a Bill Bryson type book, but it is very funny! I think he's going to fill the void until Bill Bryson releases another book.
