COEX 145 with blown tires in Houston

A COEX 145XR is currently circling above Houston burning off fuel. It blew two of its main gear wheels on take off. Most major news channels are covering it between stories.

WOW, I wonder what happened??? Heat from an aborted takeoff? Anetter putting nails on the runnway, or pilot just wanted some from the head FA and was showing off.... You decide!

My wife is a Capt. for CoEx, the crew did a wonderful job, no fuss,no muss, Bravo! my brothers and sisters!

do you have any additional info? It is not normal to just see tires burst
on takeoff. I was told by a friend that he heard a rumor from his wife's
hairstylists customers aunt who knows this kid who heard that their tires
are retreaded like a billion times and they wait until seeing the cords
before retreading them.

OK, that was just a tad exaggerated, but I was told that the tires do not
always look up to par (I do not buy it or your wife would not accept the
aircraft...so seriously..... Any preliminary news on why the tires failed?

derf, congrats!! i know the feeling, my daughter is just 6 months old today.


we took the sonogram pix and the first pic of her after she was born and put them all together and framed it. it now hangs in her room, just as a reminder of how she became...
