Due to fog at JFK B6 1033 BTV-JFK just diverted into LGA. They parked on A6 so I only know about it because they called me to come into the ramp. What a surprise when I saw the 190 pull into the gate. Could not see the reg but the dark blue tail with the dots. Not sure if will overnight here or not, going home now,

Looks like that would have been a fun 9 minute ferry flight back to JFK this morning. But do they really have to climb to 8000' for a flight that short?

maybe has to do with area traffic at the time?

We did have 742s among us at 2 AMlast night, 2100ft for a EWR-JFK ferry.

I'm guessing the reason for last night's diversion was probably a "High Minimums" Captain or crew. JFK's visibility at the time of the diversion was 1/4 mile vis in Fog with a 100 foot ceiling. Since other stuff was still making it in that's my guess. BTW after looking thru the different tail designs it appears to have been N184JB "Out of the Blue"

Aircraft N 197JB left LGA for JFK this AM before the fog rolled in. Left for MCO at 0651.

Flight 1033 BTV-JFK diverted to LGA to drop off the customers who were flying BTV to FLL. There was a big potential of the FLL customers misconnecting in JFK due to long out and in times. There for the FLL customers who were on flight 1033 were then transfered to LGA-FLL flight 377. The E-190 then went to JFK.
