The color they are repainting them into are the colors that the plane was first painted in when it was made. It's these colors that are on the Gemini Jet version of N102DA.

I have a little update on the Spirit of Delta's visit to JFK. I made several calls this morning and after about 6 calls got the woman from the Delta Heritage Museum who is in charge of the tour. There has been a minor change to JFK on Thursday 2-23. The r/t short flight to nowhere will now depart at 0915 and arrive back at 1000, this will allow a ceremony, inside security at 0830, at Terminal 3, Gate 3. I went to Delta's website and looked, Gate 3 is on the east side, under the overhang, third gate from the street, if Gates 1 and 2 are empty shots from the street should be possible. I plan on being around on Thursday morning.

Haven't heard that but can't say for sure if it's incorrect as I haven't seen the a/c myself. From what I was told, it's "now painted in delivery colors".

Derf, they where considering doing the recent 75th Anniv scheme on one side and the delivery widget colors on the other but they decided to go with the delivery colors, according to several people I spoke with at the DL Heritage Museum !

Tommy, I will be out there around 2:30. It's supposed to be mostly sunny, with intermittent clouds, so it looks promising!

We should all remember that, if the 31s are active, Delta often comes in on 31L but sometimes comes in on 31R, thus making it kinda difficult to know in advance where to shoot from. So if the 31s are active, we should all be paying close attention to the scanners and listening to NY Approach to hear what runway its going to. I sure don't want to be that guy sitting at Costco watching Spirit of Delta float down to 31L. :)

This mornings flight ATL-MCO used a very clever flight number, DL 102, hopefully they will use this call sign through out the tour. If JFK is on the 31's tomorrow crew will probably request 31L so they will roll-out right in front of the DL Terminal as I would imagine many employees will be waiting for her !

Brookville Park is just east of the mounds, continue on 147th ave and it is on your left side if you would be coming from the mounds. If you were able to get up on the mounds I would go there. I would say Brookville park is like shooting from Burger King, same kind of angle.

Once your at your spot and do not have computer access you can call DL Res at 1-800-221-1212. I could not get flt 102 to work yesterday in the auto system but when the young lady in India picked up she updated times for MCO-FLL. I will be in and out this afternoon, mostly out but if I see anything I will call Josh's cell with a times update !

This kinda sucks. As of right now (12:33), N102DA is still 30 minutes out of CVG. When it lands there it has the ceremony and 45-minute employee flight before departing for the flight to JFK. And Ron's info is now showing a nighttime arrival. Those greedy people down in FLL will be to blame! :)

I heard 9am, back at 10am then onto BOS at 1130am. If anyone is going to be out there tomorrow and would like a phone call if I know for sure what time it's departing and/or what runway it will be taxiing to just PM me your cell# and I'll do my best to update you. Of course, with departures figuring out the runway will be easy since it's not the Concorde, it'll be whatever the other aircraft are using at the time.

This Morning Aubry said another Delta plane was blocking it. Glad that one moved. Also I had to wait for the sun to get blocked by the clouds so I could get a chance to get a shot. If the sun was shining it would have been shot with the sun directly over the plane. BTW the flight showe up on the trackers liek 1 hour before it planned departure time.

We had a great tour around JFK including a low pass down runway 22L, then some local maneuvering just off the coast. One of the NYCAviation guys should have some good pics to post here, some that he took from the jumpseat. Too bad the weather could not cooperate as much as the NYC Tracon did. Gotta love NYC! Hope you all like the flag I flew!
