Hi Eric,
Yes and no. Sometimes it stays for a few days and sometimes it leaves in like 2 hours. If I am awake I will post the departure time when it shows up.

I just chedk and there is no flight plan filed for this plane as of yet.

This is the aircraft that some of us saw in LA while we were eating in Proud Bird. I've never seen a 707 before and this was my first one ever. It looked beautiful as it passed the windows in the late evening. Michael Carter called out "Now THERE'S an airplane!"

ATIS says they are deparitng 31L. How accurate is that? So Howard Beach would be the spot for it, huh?

Senga's done it again! Great shot...for a flight to Barcelona, it sure got off the ground pretty early.

It looks like you and 88ZL have an almost annual schedule going...odd... :)

Sucks that we didn't get to get a shot of it, but looking at it's early liftoff and bank there, I doubt nay of our shots would have been very pleasing.

Although with it having gone overhead, we might have been able to get a nice effect with the sunset reflecting off of its belly, the 707 is on the smaller side and those of us without the 20D crop ability would probably not have had sufficient quality.

I really hope to get this bird again in the future.

Senga, really nice shot. You rested it on your dashboard?

Phil,
I am sure it will be back. It visits JFK a few times out of the year.
Yes I took ti on my dashboard. I didn't have anywhere outside to place it on outside.

I don't know the profitibility of that outfit, but no question this 707 gets a LOT of work!

I wonder if it'll come back to Milville's short runway this summer?

I'm sure that they money people bay to use that aircraft covers the operational costs by far. I mean look where its flown?. Arabia, Africa, South America, Asia all over Europe. They know who flies on that plane and im sure make the prices accordingly :)
