This one won't even be close and Joe don't say anything about ISP either! Should have put FRG on that list.

In terms of locations, I'll have to (and did) say LGA. The spots are unrivaled when it comes to getting close to low and loud planes. And that's what this hobby is all about, no? :)

However, when it comes to traffic and staying on your toes, JFK takes the cake. Hands down.

I'm still laughing at ISP being referred to as an NYC airport. Come on, man.

JFK has some GREAT traffic, but I think the spotting locations fail. LGA lets you get MUCH closer and a more interesting variety of angles that allow for more beautiful shots. JFK only affords distant shots that are good for documenting, with the exception of banks from Howard Beach (if you get lcuky and a hard one), or skyline combos from Bayswater.

I wonder who voted for ISP? Oh yea great airport. Only one good spotting location and you usually have an hour before the fuzz comes and hauls you off. (Ask Mario)

While the Euro and Asia birds at JFK are certainly great to see LGA provides much better locations and simply fantastic angles. Joe I'm sorry but ISP is the biggest waste of an airport to spot at, ISP has its pluses as an airport but spotting is certainly not one of them. Oh, for the last time ISP IS NOT A NEW YORK CITY AIRPORT!!!! ISP serves eastern Long Island. Any further reference to ISP being a NYC airport will be meet with a slap to the upside of your head.

I have to agree with LGA.
JFK is great, but the people around JFK call the cops too often.
ISP...not even going there. I know one of the best spots for arrival photos, and I got a visit from the SCPD to my house.
EWR...another cop nightmare, ask anyone who's near IKEA.
Having Planeview Park right across the street from LGA makes it an absolute winner...not to mention the World's Fair marina parking lot & the ole "rockin' chairs."

Garri,

For someone who says "you idiot" on one line, you misspelled "your" on the next.

Ask Phil when AMAAviation.com comes out, and then you can start calling people idiots for not knowing where Armadillo, or whatever airport it is, is located. (just breaking balls) ;)
