If anyone wants one last look at a DL Shuttle 733 Friday Nov 11th is your last chance (unless you have access at VCV) ! DL has been phasing in the MD88 on the Shuttle since Nov 1st (none in Shuttle titles so far) LGA-BOS is now all MD88 and after Nov 11 so is LGA-DCA. As a service to the NYC Community I will post the DCA-LGA sched 733 arrival times for Friday Nov 11th. 0659, 0932, 1029, 1330, 1444, 1736, 1837 and 2132. I believe it's only two aircraft left. BTW several have already ferried LGA-VCV. The 733G's on the Shuttle (the G is for glass cockpit) have higher lease rates than the older DL 733's that are have the round dial cockpits and are mostly ex Western and US. and DL has rejected their leases in Chap 11. If I see any MD-88's with Shuttle titles I will report it here !

Cheers

Were the MD88's interiors "overhauled" with shuttle seats throughout the whole plane, or are they still in DL's 2 class configuration?

IIRC, there were a few DL MD88's flying around like 8 years ago in the shuttle configuration, although thinking back on it, they may have been 727s....

DL is reconfiguring the Shuttle MD-88's to an all coach big legroom Y134 Configuration. Not sure if all are done or some are temporarily being operated in a two class config but I know at least a couple are done.

And it was the 727-200 before, never the MD80 or 88

they should just take some of the Song 757's they are already have one class seating, and then they could offer TV and have an up on US airways...

as far as i can recall there is only 1 738 operating on the DL shuttle, due to the fact that it was under lease and the cabin is configured as all-Y. ron, do you know if it's going to stay or not?

There is at least one B733 Delta Shuttle still flying, as least it was today (Sat 11/12). Not sure if it was the last flight out or even if it departed as Shuttle vs. going to VCV. Departed 22 at/around 9:50am.

I'm actually going to miss these. I think I had the DL 733s fleeted, or at least close to it.

Can anyone get me a ful list of all the regs?

I was checking LGA this morning of the 6 MD80's none were in Shuttle livery.
but looking at the T tails did bring back some memories of the old B727's

Was on the shuttle this a.m to boston, flew back on the 3:30. I actual ended up flying back on the exact plane that got me there. First class configuration was still there. The seating is the same and I assume it will be since its new. Since Delta shuttle does not issue seat assignments, the first 16 get to sit first class style for that long flight (sarcasm). I doubt they will change the configuration on ALL models since they can easily use them for other routes just in case. The whole concept of transferring to the MD-88 was to have more seating, which they do, a whole 9 more. That decision was made by listening to its customers for more seating availability.

Hey Mike, nice shot.
I actually had the pleasure of flying N241DL on both trips to and from DCA this past month on Oct 18th and Oct 23rd.
Pretty cool to know she was last one flying.
