I haven't seen this posted anywhere else. If it is, sorry in advance.

A flight attendant (who works for UAL ) made a feature length film about the lives of flight attendants after being placed on involuntary furlough from her airline after 9/11. The movie takes place in NYC, Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Hawaii, Paris and probably some other places I'm forgetting.

It's called "The Aviary" and I think it's a pretty great little move and I thought I would pass along the information for any of you who might be interested.

I am impressed with the FA who made it for using her probably very stressful time off work to be productive and create something for others to enjoy.

You can only get the DVD on the website - you can also read her blog, watch the movie trailer and check out the cast there:

Review of the movie with a good synopsis of the movie:

I have some disturbing news on this front: The flight attendant who made this movie got fired for releasing it. I think her airline (whatever it is but I am guessing UAL) needs a reality check! You can read about it on the fa's blog: http://theaviarymovie.com/mainpage.htm

Are you just advertising for this movie or something?

The movie sucked & it looks like that somebody joined this website to get some free advertisement for the movie.

Shamefull...

Also, the Flight Attendant that made this movie got into a fight with the owner of another website when he deleted her account, as she joined his website for the sole purpose of drawing attention to the movie.

On other websites, you keep seeing these popup postings from people, once again talking about the movie.

The sad part is that they never ask the owners of the website if it is ok for them to do so....

I am generally very against using the site for advertising. IF the person is a regular member and says "Hey guys, jsut thought you might wanna check this out," then that's ok. But when someone joins the site for the sole purpose, then I usually take action.

The only reason that I did not delete this is because is IS aviation related.

Also, we can get some great feeback, like what Mike shared. "Billie Powers" wants to abuse the boards to draw attention to the movie....great....let's tell everyone how ****ty it is.

I'd rather watch my dog get hit by a car. It looks like some miserable feminist's attempt to validate her career with a pathetic cookie cutter plot.

I am pretty sure that you know the name of the airline, if you follow the blogs & are aware of the movie....

As to the firing, the airline had the right to do so, the Flight Attendant took advantage of the airlines resources by using the flight benefits to travel around.

Why didn't the Flight Attendant alert the airline Human Resources about the project, or alert the Union who in turn could have alerted the airline.

I just watched it again, and I have to say, it is a very interesting movie. I encourage you all to watch it again - the first time around you don't always catch the nuance. I know you'll like it more the second time. BTW, pretty hot for a pilot, huh?

I don't know why all these wallpaper people put their banners up in forums that have nothing to do with wall paper, don't they know we already love wallpaper? Now that's what I call a shameful plug for something totally unrelated.

These people have established themselves with the site and have full permission to share the banner in their signatures with us.

You, on the other hand, have joined this site for the sole purpose of adveritsing for this G-list movie.

Attacking a member of this website that has belonged to this website for quite some & has a high number of postings, not the wisest thing to do, while you just joined for the express purpose of drawing attention to the movie.

Nobody attacks Fred on my watch!!! That movie should be as good as Fred's pictures. Now if the producer consulted me on this film I would have suggested she just make a good old fashion porn. Now if that was the case I'd watch the movie. As for losing her job I hear Braniff is hiring. lol

If I did the movie, it would have been retro! Really Retro..
http://fromtheflightdeck.com/temp/nycaviation/2Pamb.jpg

and show why F/A's really get canned!
http://fromtheflightdeck.com/temp/nycaviation/Pam4b.jpg

and what really goes on in the "COCKPIT"
http://fromtheflightdeck.com/temp/nycaviation/jetcaptain.jpg

and what really happens on some of the "LAYOVERS"
http://fromtheflightdeck.com/temp/nycaviation/Alian_Friendb.jpg

I would also have an all girl Crew for the really good shots in the "Cockpit" that could not be shown on regular tv.....

Song and music is a must
http://fromtheflightdeck.com/temp/nycaviation/83434.jpg

The F/A's would show how really versatile they are
http://fromtheflightdeck.com/temp/nycaviation/amberz12.jpg
and how they know how to take-it!
http://fromtheflightdeck.com/temp/nycaviation/ammogirl.jpg

But that is what I would do......
