Tonight SWF recived six diversions from the New York area. Two American flights and four Continental flights. The biggest plane diverted was a B757-200 from American.

I have a question, where do they park these birds? I know that right now at SWF there is already a Thai MD-11, Cameroon B767-300, Korean Air B747-400, and a Ecuatorial Guniea B737-700 already parked at SWF because of the UN and I assume that the Korean, Thai, and Cameroon are parked near the C-5 hangars, but where do all the diversions park? Do they park in the terminal?

Is anybody planning on going out there tommarow to see all these un-regular visitors? I would but of course I have school and then soccer

What was the reason for these diversions?

I need to correct myself, only one of the diversions is still left at SWF, and that is the American Airlines B757-200 which was orginally routed SEA-JFK. The B757-200 is schduled to leave tommorow at 8:24 a.m. The American MD-82 from Kansas deparated back to LGA, The two Continental B737-500s, one from Chicago and one from Kansas have departed back to EWR, one Continental B737-800 orginally SFO-EWR has left also as well as a Continental Express ERJ.

Now the Thai MD-11, Korean Air B747-400, Cameroon B767-300, Ecutorial Guniea B737-700, and the American B757-200 remain at SWF. The American will leave tommarow morning and the rest, which are the better visitors, will leave on Friday, I assume.

Sorry for the misleading info.

I am guessing thunderstorms in the JFK, EWR, and LGA area?

I would assume that diversions park in the terminal area somewhere. All the UN stuff on Thursday was parked down the bottom end near Rifton Aviation and Avitat.

I saw Thai MD-11, Cameroon 767, Korean 744, Equitorial Guinea BBJ, 2x A6 BBJ's, Djibouti Govt 727, South African bizjet Algerian IL-76 Algerian Gulf 5 and Algerian Gulf 4 Bahrain Govt 747SP.

You can get good views (if anything is left by now) from the area near the MCC receiving entrance, and the credit card parking lot next to the terminal.

Please tell me you took photos!

I went on Sunday to SWF because the Thai MD-11 was scheduled to come in then but ended up being re-shceduled to Monday. I never got a chance to go out during the week, I constantly asked my dad and the answer was always know. Maybe if he had known that the B747-SP was there he would have said yes.

I am guessing that they all left yesterday?

Because my dad is an azz he is refusing to take me.

This entire week after I got home from school I got down on my knees and begged him to go and he said no and now he is saying no again. Oh well.

I finally convinced my dad to take me tommarow. It says that the planned departure time is 9:28 a.m. There will also be a MEA A330-200 there tommarow, hopefully I can also catch that.
