I am really surprised no one has caught this but Delta's Fall schedule change starts Thursday Sept 1st and for LGA the highlight is the return of the 764 plus a daily 732.
Here are the details.
764: DL1125 ATL-LGA ETA 1247 DL328 LGA-ATL ETD 1400 6 days a week except Sat.
732: DL 1680 CVG-LGA ETA 1233 DL 1545 LGA-CVG ETD 1330 Daily

762's go from a current 4 to 2 a day departing at 1000 and 1300 and arriving at 0837 and 1139.
There will be 7 763's a day all to and from ATL.

One important note. Labor Day Weekend the 764 does NOT operate Sunday Sept 4th due to the Holiday schedule.

While this is not a good time of day for photo's it never was before with the old times but some of you guys seem to know how to make this work. I am attaching a DL 764 photo of mine, so so quality at a more desirable time of day for light, and the weather conditions might make you appreciate the current heat and humidity !

So you're Ron Peel...you've got some awesome LGA photos and always have great LGA info! Thanks for the post.

I'm very happy to see that the B764 is coming back to LGA, since I never obtained a good shot of her previously. Additionally, it's great to see the B732 make more of an appearance at LGA, not that they haven't already with that SOUND!!

Thanks again for the head sup.

Wow. This is great news. September is always a great aviation month!!

I have about eight things to add to the news page.

So this means that on Saturdays we'll get two 732s from Delta? If so, that's awesome!

I can't wait for that 764...I have so many picture ideas!

Josh, no 764 on Saturdays though.

Just hearing that you have ideas will force me to reach into my bag of tricks. Do I sense a DL 767 rivalry here? ;) haha

Josh, just one 732 on Saturday's, the daily one, the Sat only 732 we have now changes to a 738, and remember no 764 on Saturday's, just Sunday-Friday.

I know. That's why I'm excited about the two DL 732s.

Last I remember, Phil, you got crushed by Stevenson in your DL 764 rivalry. You've recovered enough emotionally to step back into that game? :)

Anyway, if competing with each other results in one of us getting a shot that knocks Mr. I-Come-Into-Town-And-Take-One-Photo-And-Get-The-All-Time-Most-Popular-LGA-Shot (a.k.a Stevenson) out of first place, then I'm all for it! :)

haha. I lost to you also in the 762 category.

I just like seeing us get motivated and take great photos. It would be great to topple Stevenson's shot. But wow, a 50k hitter at LGA? I think I gotta pull out my long guns!

Well day 1 went smoothly, the 764 operated with N825MH, came in on 31 about 20 mins late, departed on 4 about 15 mins late, the 732 was a dirty N303DL.

It must have been nice to see The Beast back at LGA!

Actually it was GREAT seeing the beast back in LGA especially when the Captain slammed it down on 31 at about the 800 foot mark with lots of tire smoke, sure was pretty !

Does DL still send the 764 into LGA? I would like to get on one of those...

No Joe, Nov 30th was the last day, except perhaps an occasional equipment sub. On DL's Dec 1st schedule domestic capacity is significantly reduced and LGA-ATL is a prime example with MD88's and 757's operating most flights. I think there are around 3 or 4 763's as well.
