see phil, i did it.

now one to the real matter at hand. i flew to KIND today to take the hands-on trianing session on the EMB-170. i didn't get to do any pushbacks or towing since there was an airplane at the gate already but did get to do everythign else to it. it was one in the DL connection colors, of which there were 4 others parked on the south side of the field in front of the AAR Aviation Services building. the building itself is what i'm curious about. it has two jetways but it huge, too big to be a regular pax terminal. i didn't notice if there were any hangar doors on the building as we were climbing out already. anybody know anything about this building and what it's used for?

while i was there on the ramp playing with the new airplane i managed to see 3 TZ 753s, 1 TZ L1011, fat albert, blue angels 1-6, 2 FE A310s, 3 FE 722s, 2 FE DC-10s in the hangar for an mx check, FL 717, WN 733s and 737s, AW 733s, US 733s, RP EMB-145s and bunch of EMB-170s in DL colors (4), one in the white and blue hybrid colors and two in UA colors, F9 A319, P-51, T-6, TBM avenger, A-36 Bonanza, C-750, G-V, Lear 35 and 45.

HAHA, Matt. You did, thanks. :-p

Great things to see. ATA L-1011. Damn.

I hope you were paying attention to your training and not mental-spotting all day.

Matt, will they be painting new lines on the ground at the terminal to guide the EMBs in on?

What all do they train you to do? Stuff like fueling the plane, opening doors and stuff like that?

it was just a hand-on session, so we had to operate everything that we normally would when we serviced it. i alread y took the train-the-trainer class so seeing the airplane was all i needed.

no phil, we're parking them on gates 9 and 10.
