Those Polish folks over at LOT have wet-leased a Lockhead L-1011 Tristar. Perhaps we'll get to see it at JFK sometime soon!

Senga, it's up to you to keep an eye on this.

Wet-leased from who? "Wet-leasing" means it won't be in LOT colors, so this could be pretty interesting if it ends up at JFK.

And what the hell is up with this Air Scotland and their L10?

Air Scotland is Sept at the earliest.

The "LOT " Tri-Star is apparently from Luzair(sp?)...standing in for Air Atlanta Icelandic 767 that was flying for LOT.

All this from A.net forums, now 3rd hand probably, but hopefully this is the correct info.

futt, it could very well show up in thier colors. man i would love to see this bird at JFK!! this is my mission for the summer, to catch this one!!

is this the second or third airplane that LO has leased this summer? they're loads really increase, raising the issue of fleet replacement again. does anyoen here know what plane they picked, A330 or 787?

As Matt stated, even if it's a wet-lease there is a chance it'll be in LOT livery or at least have LOT titles in a hybird livery. It really depends on how long the lease is for and how quickly they in the bird in action.

So who here has the resources to find out when and where this plane will be flying for LOT?

Not that this is a way to confirm but I do not show any L1011's listed for flights WAW-JFK/EWR at this time for the summer. They could be using the L10 and not change the skeds to reflect L10 (instead of 762/3) or just have not updated yet. Or, not be using them for NY routes. (Noooooooooooo!)

yea we all did just naturally assume that they will be flying it into JFK, but they do also fly to EWR and YUL (think thats the code.)

They also fly to KRK from JFK...maybe they'll use it there?...its possible it may just be for summer charters and they'll keep their own metal on sched routes...

Yes, KRK is 2x a week but still only showing the 76's.
