I still have nightmares about what happened to me at the Delta Terminal several years back. As I have no car, I visited the Delta Terminal every weekend to "spot" rather than visit JFK's periphery. I never had a problem and Delta was as nice as could be, but an over-zealous Argenbright guard started harrassing me for no reason one day. After questioning me, he told me to leave; then escorted me out of the terminal and watched me board the bus. Can you imagine how embarrassing this was in front of all the travelers? I had been taking photos in the terminal but nothing was suspicious. I was so upset I gave up "spotting" for a year. I can't recall the date but it was before 9-11. Ironically,I read that the Argenbright Security at Logan Airport, supposedly cleared the terrorists on 9-11 to board their flights! This is the same company that escorted me out for taking photos!

not to smart, are they? sadly, this kind of stupid and over-zealous behavior can be found everywhere. whn i get bothered i usually show them my airline ID and if that doesn't work then my sheild. if that's not an issue i call PAPD myself.

Wow man that sucks.

A week before 9/11 a friend and I were on the Delta terminal parking roof taking pics and were asked to leave by a security guard. We did, especially since we were younger and didn't want to cause any trouble.

I haven't been hassled since when I go to spot. In all fairness though, I don't own a large camera or anything like that which brings a lot of you all more suspicion and undoubtedly creates more "law enforcement" incidents.

Although I don't want to get into any incidents, I'd be interested in seeing what many of you go through, and how law enforcement handles the situation. Granted I'd probably pull out my military ID just to avoid a major headache, but before I do so it'd still be neat to see how law enforcement handles it.
