I'm in the market for a new CRT monitor, to be used principally for editing my airplane pics. I'd be interested to hear what kind of monitors you use.

Someone recommended the following: Samsung SyncMaster 19" - model 997df (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=6554604&type=product&productCategoryId=pcmcat56900050018&id=1077629948643)

I'm open to suggestions, ideas, etc.

I dont edit many airplane pics! however I have a 17" Samsung LCD 710N-BK. LCD's are really the way to go nowadays I believe, and its a huge spacesaver. The price also very good on newegg.com.

Hey all, I moved this topic to the off-topic forum!

Happy posting!

On the subject though, I have a 19" Dell Flat Screen Monitor.

Oh no...my post has been banished to the Off Topic forum. I may never fully recover from the emotional trauma. :)

No offense to people with LCD monitors (I currently own one, too), but aren't CRTs (which can certainly have better sharpness) generally considered better for editing photos? I know there are plenty of you who use CRTs for your photo editing, and I'd love to hear from you.

I'd also love to hear anyone's opinion about the monitor I linked to in my original post. I don't have a full grasp of the minimum requirements I should be looking for in a monitor, so any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

Josh

I have a 19" Samsung SyncMaster 753DF. I enjoy it. But I'm thinking I need a better video card for my pics.
