I just thogth that was funny and looked so close.

You folks ever see shots on Anet that look like they were at an unrealistic airport like LGA?

I am an Idiot! At first when I looked at that pic I didnt scroll down to see where it was and I really thought it was at LGA for a split second.

Thats pretty cool! I never noticed any shots like that. I bet there are a ton of them that we can find with that new feature "Similar Photos". Hmm let me see...

Thanks, Futt.

I was more excited to be the first one to get a shot of LGA's new parallel runways from overhead.

Phil...What happened to Rikers Island?!?! :)

In order to make room for the new runways, they used Riker's Island as landfill and moved the prisoners to Long Island.

Some of you might remember this:

I posted that in a thread on Airliners.net.

Then Mike McLaughlin replied and said "Wow, Phil, I happened to be int he terinal at teh time and didn't realize it was on approach and got this shot:

http://nycaviation.com/pichost/pialga.jpg

Then someone else replied, noting the difference in grass color "My, how fast the seasons change in New York.'

Then Mike edited the shot and changed the link to show this one as though it was this one all along...

...with the response "What are you talking about?"

Just one of the funnier things that I remember.
