Boeing today, in conjunction with 787 launch customer All Nippon Airways, rolled out the first 787-8 commercial airliner to be used in revenue passenger service.
Boeing today announced that they had secured 17 more orders for the 747-8 Intercontinental, the latest version of the iconic jumbo Jet made by the Chicago-based company.
In a conference call this morning, Boeing gave it’s current market outlook for this year and the future for commercial airplanes, forecasting growth in the market as a whole to the tune of around 5% a year.
The 747-8 Intercontinental touched down safely at Boeing Field on Sunday after a successful four and a half-hour first flight.
Boeing’s 747-8 Intercontinental took off Sunday from Paine Field, kicking off the flight test program for the longest passenger aircraft in the world and the largest plane ever built by Boeing.
