NBAA Forum Brings Business Aviation Community To White Plains

The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) held their final Regional Forum of 2019 on Thursday June 6. For the second consecutive year, the Forum was held at Westchester County Airport (HPN) near White Plains, NY. The event featured nearly 200 exhibitors and almost 40 aircraft on static display, with more than 3,000 attendees. 

Exhibits

The exhibit hall housed the event’s many exhibitors along with an area for NBAA’s seminars. These seminars, held throughout the event, covered a wide variety of topics. These included a discussion on the current political climate for business aviation. Other seminars focused on how taxes are affecting business aviation, as well as the buying and selling of aircraft. One seminar was even aimed at students and young professionals looking for a career in business aviation. The wide range of exhibitors covered just about anything you can think of that would touch business aviation, and then some. From engines and interiors, to catering and inflight medical needs, to marshalling wands and a remote controlled tug, almost anything you can think of was represented on the show floor. Even entire airports and a variety of fixed base operators (FBOs) were on hand.

Static Displays

A short bus ride away across a few active taxiways was the static display area. There, a wide variety of aircraft were on display. Dassault had a large presence, with three aircraft of its own along with the Falcon 6X demonstration cabin onsite. Gulfstream Aerospace brought the G280, G650ER, and the not yet certified G600. Embraer had a few aircraft of its own on display, with both the HA-420 HondaJet and Cirrus Vision SF50 representing the very light jet market. Swiss manufacturer Pilatus brought both its PC-12 single turboprop and PC-24 twin-engined jet. Other turboprops onsite included a TBM-910 and a Beech King Air. Also onsite were a Cessna 208B Grand Caravan and Quest Kodiak 100, both on amphibious floats. Rounding out the static displays was a brand new high lift catering truck, which offered attendees snacks, beverages, and a place to cool down.
