For the 5th straight year Greenwood Lake will play host to their hometown airshow this weekend August 16-18. “To help compensate for recent sequestration we worked to make this years show a true 3 day event,” states Tim Wagner, Greenwood Lake Airshow Director. Slated to kick off Friday, the show also added some new additions to take part in the 3 day event. Two time Red Bull Air Race champion and renowned airshow performer Kirby Chambliss will headline this years show alongside the Iron Eagle Aerobatic Team. Local talent includes demos by both Kevin Russo and the Raiders demo team as well as southern participants in Gary Ward and Greg Koontz.
For those who like to keep their eyes on the ground, there will be a host of static aircraft on display from Long Island’s own American Airpower Museum as well as a car show for the four wheel fans.
