Poland Asks United States To Pull Presidential Plane Crash Photos From Web

Graphic photos that showed the mangled victims of the 2010 plane crash that killed Polish President Lech Kaczynski emerged online in September. Now Poland wants governments of the countries where they are hosted to take them down.
Polish prosecutors and diplomats have sent the addresses of web servers that host the photos to authorities in Russia, Ukraine, Germany and the United States, asking them to force the owners to remove them. So far Russia and Ukraine have reportedly complied. The US and Germany, however, have declined to take action citing national laws.
NYCAviation reviewed the photos soon after they cropped up but declined to publish them due to their graphic content.
