Mitt Romney’s Wife in Denver Emergency Landing

A business jet carrying Ann Romney, wife of Presidential candidate Mitt Romney, made an emergency landing in Denver Friday afternoon when the cockpit reportedly filled with smoke.

None of the nine people onboard were injured when the Bombardier Challenger 601 landed, ABC News reported.

Romney was enroute to to Santa Monica, California, from Omaha, Nebraska. According to FlightAware logs, the plane was cruising at 40,000 ft just west of Denver when it turned around and landed on Runway 35L within 20 minutes.

The 10-seat plane is owned and operated by Phoenix-based Worldwide Jet Charters.
