Alaska Airlines on Monday began daily service between its Seattle hub and San Antonio, Texas.

The central Texas city is Alaska’s fourth destination in the Lonestar State, joining Dallas/Fort Worth, Austin and Houston. It also marks Alaska’s 16th destination east of the Rocky Mountains.

Boeing 737-800 jets will operate the new route.

“San Antonio is the second-largest city in Texas and has a variety of great attractions for visitors, in addition to being a vibrant business community,” said Joe Sprague, Alaska Airlines’ vice president of marketing, in a statement. “We are pleased to bring our low fares and great customer service to our fourth destination in the Lone Star state.”
