A wholly-owned subsidiary of Singapore Airlines, SilkAir will pick up 31 Boeing 737 MAX 8s and 23 Boeing 737-800s.
The deal marks a bit of a coup for Boeing, as SilkAir (not to be confused with Silk Way, the cargo airline in Azerbaijan) currently operates an all-Airbus fleet of 21 Airbus A319s and A320s.
The airline serves 42 destinations in Asia and Australia.
