Video: Audio: False Mayday Call Off Coast of New Jersey

The US Coast Guard released audio of the mayday call they received on Monday, June 11, 2012, in which someone claiming to be the captain of a large yacht named Blind Date reported that the boat had exploded and several of the 21 people were dead, injured or in the water. Dozens of boats and helicopters and hundreds of rescuers never found any trace of a boat in the area and now believe it was a hoax.
