Cats on a plane.

An American man could face charges in Italy after attempting to smuggle 19 cats onto a flight from Rome to New York, the ANSA news agency reported.

When the airline allowed only four of the cats onboard, the man simply abandoned the remaining 15 at the airport.

If that weren’t enough, his kitty litter caused a bomb scare when security screeners didn’t know what it was.

Italian authorities may charge the man with animal cruelty.
