The SpaceX Dragon spacecraft is expected to begin its docking with the International Space Station on Friday at around 10:02 am ET, when the Canadarm 2 is scheduled to grab the capsule and pull it into position.
A milestone for the commercial space movement, it marks the first time a non-government-owned spacecraft has approached the Space Station.
Dragon launched atop a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket earlier this week.
