Taiwan-based EVA Air has ordered three additional Boeing 777-300ER aircraft in a deal worth about $930 million based on list prices.

The new long-haul jets will join 15 of the same model already in the EVA fleet, the newest of which was delivered in 2009. EVA also operates Boeing 747s, Airbus A330s and McDonnell Douglas MD-90s. Last year the carrier ordered Airbus A321 narrowbody aircraft.

EVA recently joined Star Alliance.
