A Delta Air Lines Boeing 737-700 suffered “significant damage” early Tuesday morning when it rolled off a taxiway and down a hill in Atlanta. Only two maintenance workers were on the plane at the time and both escaped without injury.
The mechanics were reportedly conducting an engine test at around 5 am when the plane suffered a brake malfunction and slid off the taxiway.
Delta currently operates 10 Boeing 737-700 narrowbody jetliners. The accident aircraft, N309DE, was delivered in 2009.
Flight operations at the airport were not affected.
