A Boeing employee was seriously injured Monday night when he was pinned between the spoiler and wing flaps of a new 747 under construction.
A Herald report said the man was working on a new 747-8 Freighter at the airframer’s Everett, Wash. factory at around 7:30 pm on Monday when the accident occurred. The plane he was working on is being built for the Russian freight hauler Air Bridge Cargo Airlines.
Boeing would not comment on the circumstances of the accident, but said they are in close contact with the victim’s family and providing support.
Last month, another Boeing employee was run over by a 787 Dreamliner at the same facility. That man survived, but doctors were forced to amputate both of his legs.
