A small plane that flew too close to Air Force One near Los Angeles Thursday morning was intercepted and found to be carrying marijuana, according to published reports.

NORAD says it scrambled two US Air Force F-16 fighters from March Joint Air Reserve Base in Riverside County, Calif. after the Cessna 182 violated a Temporary Flight Restriction (TFR) surrounding Los Angeles International Airport at around 11:30 am local time. Air Force One was on the tarmac about to depart to San Francisco with President Barack Obama onboard at the time of the incident, according to ABC News.

The Cessna was forced to land at Long Beach International Airport, where local law enforcement discovered the marijuana. There was no immediate word on the status of the pilot or the origin or destination of the plane.
