Being born and raised in New York, us NYCAviation brass are not huge fans of that football team that plays in Foxboro.
But we do love flyovers no matter what teams are involved. The lower and louder, the better.
So when we saw a ginormous US Air Force C-5 Galaxy, belly covered in “Go Pats” paint, buzzing 1,000 feet over Gillette Stadium before Sunday’s AFC Championship game, we got pretty excited, even though our team will be seeking their team’s destruction in Indianapolis two weeks from now. (And maybe it helped ease the pain of listening to Steven Tyler mangle the national anthem.)

The featured C-5 flew out of Westover Air Reserve Base in Chicopee, Mass. Appropriately, it is part of The Patriot Wing, aka the 439th Airlift Wing, and operated by the 337th Airlift Squadron.
