The National Football League has reached an agreement with inflight internet provider Row44 that will allow passengers with wifi devices to live stream broadcasts from the NFL Network.

This New York Jets fan is clearly ready for the new service.

As Southwest Airlines is Row44’s only U.S. airline customer, offering live football should be a minor marketing coup for Southwest, though the airline has not yet touted the service.

Broadcasts will include all of NFL Network’s original programming, perhaps most lucratively its live games. Thursday Night Football will be available, as will NFL RedZone, a Sunday-only channel on which the screen is filled with multiple live feeds from every game in which the offensive team has entered the so-called “red zone” beyond the 20 yard line. The NFL’s on-demand library of classic games and current shows will also be available to Row44 users.

The deal marks Row44’s second major sports content licensing agreement, the first coming last year with Major League Baseball.
