• A regional aircraft operated for Delta Air Lines was searched on arrival into Kansas City yesterday after a “somewhat suspicious” electronic communication. Sniffing dogs and passenger interviews yielded nothing, and authorities offered no further comment. [WHDH]
• The future is looking somewhat bleak for Frontier Airlines as Republic Airways restructures Frontier while reducing their ownership in the fuzzy animal-tailed airline. Frontier lost $90 million in the first half of 2011. [DenverPost]
• An 85-year-old woman that decided to refuse the x-ray imaging scan and therefore received the standard body search at JFK International Airport, is nowsuing the TSA. Aside from feeling violated and humiliated, she was injured in the process when her walker struck her own leg, leaving her with a gash and a “bloody sock.” [Fox News]
• Mars Curiosity’s launch put the spacecraft so accurately on-course to Mars that NASA has canceled its first six planned course correction burns. It is expected to reach Mars August 6, 2012. [UniverseToday]
• A Cirrus light aircraft landed on Interstate 295 in Jacksonville, Florida. The pilot and a passenger escaped uninjured, though a pickup truck received $1,500 in damage. [FirstCoastNews]
