• Boeing enlisted the help of Seattle’s Pike Brewing Company to surprise the CEO of RwandAir, John Mirenge, with a beer specially crafted in his airline’s honor called RwandAle. Bottles of the brew were presented to Mr. Mirenge when he was in town to pick up RwandAir’s second Boeing 737-800. [Boeing]

• A woman lived in San Francisco International Airport for eight days when she couldn’t afford her US Airways checked baggage fees. [Consumerist]

• A Singapore Airlines Boeing 777-300ER veered off a runway while landing at Munich this afternoon and came to a stop on the grass. No one was injured. [The Aviation Herald]
