- Florida Rapper Rick Ross fell unconscious on a Delta flight shortly after taking off from Fort Lauderdale for Memphis this afternoon. The plane made a quick return to FLL, where Ross was taken to the hospital and is said to be in good condition. [FlightAware/TMZ]
- US Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood says he will resign at the end of President Obama’s first term, whether or not he is reelected. LaHood did not elaborate on his motivation for leaving. [NY Times]
- A researcher at the South Pole who has been waiting since August for a medical evacuation will finally be taken to New Zealand aboard a Kenn Borek Air DC-3. [ABC News]
- Some drunk idiot allegedly hit a flight attendant on an American Airlines flight from New York to Los Angeles Thursday evening, forcing an emergency landing in Denver and his spending the night in the slammer. [MSNBC]
