John Travolta Signs On to Pitch Bombardier Business Jets

Bombardier has secured the services of Hollywood star and noted aviator John Travolta to promote their Learjet, Challenger and Global lines of business jets.

Travolta is already a global ambassador for Qantas, for which he painted his personal Boeing 707 in the Australian airline’s retro livery. He also promotes the aero-centric watch manufacturer Breitling.

The Oscar-nominated actor’s connections to Bombardier and Learjet go back years, as he already owns a classic Learjet 24 and previously flew a Canadair CT-114 Tutor jet trainer. The Montreal-based manufacturer says Travolta was recently certified on the Challenger, his 11th license.

Incidentally, the announcement comes 44 years to the day that Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard first passed along the story of Xenu to his followers. According to Hubbard, Xenu was a galactic dictator who flew to earth aboard an engineless DC-8 aircraft 75 million years ago and dumped billions of his subjects around volcanoes, then proceeded to nuke them to smithereens. Travolta is one of the world’s most well-known followers of Scientology.

      Matt Molnar rocks.

No, he’s a dick.  Spreading grossly false misinformation about my religion qualifies him as a full blown dick.  And before you say “It’s true!  It’s true.  Just read it on blah blah site” may I point out that unless you have actually read Scientology material in a Scientology church, you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about.  Probably useless for me to even post this, but I’m sick of the random barbs and this one from Matt Molnar is the most random I’ve ever seen. Just a jerk.

Nice piece, Matt.  You just saved your readers $300,000.  (What Scientology charges to learn this nonsense.)

Hilarious! Thanks for that last paragraph!

Also, I wonder if Qantas knows that Travolta is flying around with the company’s name all over his plane. They would probably not be happy about this.

  • The subject is Travolta being the spokesman for Learjet, not Boeing.  So wouldn’t it have been more relevant to have a photo of his Lear, not his Boeing?  And his religion is even less relevant.

He is an ambassador for Quantas…..
