Virgin America Applies for Puerto Vallarta Service

Virgin America has applied for rights from the Mexican government and United States Department of Transportation to fly to Puerto Vallarta from San Francisco starting this winter. This will be the fifth new destination for Virgin America this year following Dallas Ft. Worth, Cancun, Los Cabos and Chicago.

“We’ve seen a strong demand for travel to our Mexican destinations and we’re looking forward to giving our flyers another world-class leisure option,” said Virgin America CEO David Cush. “We’re proud to be growing and offering travelers a very unique flight experience at a time when most airlines are shrinking their schedules and reducing the amenities provided to flyers.”

The flights will be operated with Virgin’s A320’s with a state of the art interior and the airline’s “RED” in-flight entertainment package.
