The TWA Flight Center located at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport, constructed during the golden age of jetair travel, remains to this day an icon of flight. Designed by Eero Saarinen, the building is the very essence of the soaring spirit of flight and today stands as a monument to man’s ambitions to soar with the birds. It was 10 years ago that TWA shut the doors of the TWA Flight Center and 10 years since I’ve been here. Having returned to this iconic structure and with one footstep inside I traveled back to an age of air travel that will never exist again and to a place frozen in time. The pictures of this symbol of air travel speak volumes. I hope you enjoy these pictures as much as I enjoyed capturing them and reliving the days when Trans World Airlines was the world’s airline.
