Spirit Strippermobile Brings Airline’s Notoriously Risque Marketing to the Offline World

Spirit Airlines, still high from the attention earned by throwing a “Big Weiner Sale” on its website earlier this week, has stepped it up a giant notch by driving a glass truck filled with pole dancers and painted with sexually charged double entendres.

“I’ll go both ways for $18,” reads the truck’s backside, while the side says, “Take me home for $9. Flights from LAX to Vegas.”

The trucks are rolling around Los Angeles today to attract flyers to Spirit’s newly launched service between Los Angeles and Las Vegas, which began on May 5th.

They’ve been touting the stripper truck on Twitter in an attempt to get well followed celebs, including Ashton Kutcher, Ellen Degeneres, Kathy Griffin, Chelsea Handler and Ryan Seacrest, to give them shoutouts and tweets.
