“Many” were killed when a RusAero Tupolev Tu-134 passenger plane crashed Monday in northwestern Russia, according to the RIA Novosti news agency.
The plane broke up and burned as it crash landed in a field about half a mile short of the runway in Petrozavodsk.
43 passengers and five crew were on board the flight to Petrozavodsk Airport (PES) from Moscow’s Domodedovo International Airport (DME).
