Video: Inside Trump’s 757: Okay, It’s Not a Campaign Plane
We now know that it is fitted with a very attractive VIP interior and seats only 43—not enough for the requisite press corps, staff and security that come with a serious Presidential campaign. It has a private shower, a 52-in TV, and according to the pilot, a very impressive new sound system.
The cockpit has been upgraded to all-glass and closely resembles that of a Boeing 777. Thrust is provided by two Rolls-Royce engines.
We’re still a little skeptical about the $100 million price tag that’s being thrown around. With many 20-year-old 757s like this one selling for well under $10 million, that leaves $90 million to spend, which even the most blinged-out interior and cockpit upgrades would not seem to account for. But we’re happy to be proven wrong.
In any case, we think it’s a gorgeous plane and we’re happy to be able to see it it so close to NYCA HQ.
