Emirates to Launch First Airbus A380 Service to New York

New York’s inaugural Airbus A380 service is coming sooner than expected. Originally rumored to be set for an October arrival, Emirates Airlines has has announced it will begin using the big bird on their Dubai (DXB)-New York (JFK) route on August 1st.

The service will serve as a milestone for the A380 program, marking the first scheduled A380 service to the United States. It will also be the first visit of an A380 to JFK since a March 2007 event organized by Airbus and Lufthansa to introduce A380 to the American press.
