Alaska Airlines Launches Portland-Kona, Hawaii and San Diego-Puerto Vallarta, Mexico Routes

Alaska Airlines on Friday began new seasonal service between Portland and Kona on Hawaii’s Big Island, in addition to the airline’s existing service from Portland to Kahului, Maui, and Honolulu; and between San Diego and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.

The Portland-Kona service will operate four-times weekly from today through April 9th.

Kona-Portland
Departs 9:25 a.m.
Arrives 5:00 p.m.
Mon, Wed, Fri, Sat

The new flights to Kona are operated with Boeing 737-800 aircraft, accommodating 16 passengers in first class and 141 in the main cabin.

San Diego-Puerto Vallarta service will operate daily through April 11th.

With the new Portland-Kona service, Alaska Airlines offers 101 nonstop flights a week to four islands in Hawaii from Anchorage, Alaska, and six West Coast destinations.

Meanwhile, the flight to Puerto Vallarta is in addition to the carrier’s existing service from Los Angeles, San Francisco and Seattle.

Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air fly to nine destinations in Mexico, including seven West Coast and Baja Peninsula resort areas as well as Guadalajara and Mexico City.
