An unidentified man shot and killed himself in front of a terminal at McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas, airport officials said on late Sunday afternoon.

The shooting happened just after 4.30 p.m. PDT in front of terminal two, which is mostly used for charter and international flights in and out of the airport. “He fired a single gunshot,” said Glenn Gardner, a spokesman for the airport.

Gardner said the man appeared to have shot himself in the head, but said his identity is still unknown. It was not clear if the man was a passenger, an employee at the airport, or completely unrelated to the airport.

No one else was hurt in the shooting, and flights at the airport were not affected. Police are investigating.
