New York-based jetBlue Airways and Johannesburg-based South African Airways have announced a partnership that will allow passengers to fly on both airlines with a single ticket.

Through connections to South African’s daily flights between Johannesburg and New York-JFK and Washington-Dulles, jetBlue passengers will be able to travel to 40 international cities served by South African Airways, while travelers on South African will have access to the entire jetBlue network in the US.

Fliers will also be able to check their bags to their final destination on both airlines. The partnership will start Monday, May 12th.

South African is jetBlue’s fourth airline partner, having previously signed similar agreements with Aer Lingus, Lufthansa and American Airlines.
