The Lav: TSA Wants to Inspect Your Monkey and Off-Roading In an Aeroflot Ilyushin

Evil monkeyIf you think that the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is already cramping your style too much by making you wait in a long line, take off your shoes, turn your head and cough, you will be disappointed to find out that now the TSA also wants to mess with your monkey. That’s right, the TSA have posted a new section on their website, detailing screening procedures for service animals, which include dogs and… helper monkeys. So if you can follow the law of the land, feel free to bring your thumb-equipped friend aboard. But if you cannot abide by the TSA rules, your monkey may be in for a spanking.

Speaking of which, a Southwest Airlines passenger traveling between Philly and Denver is facing 90 days in jail and a $5000 fine after being caught by his female seat-mate choking his lizard. No further comment necessary.

AirTran takes a shot at Southwest’s seating policies (or lack thereof) with this self-produced piece on their website… This just in, Southwest will respond by making a commercial about an airline that re-markets itself as a successful low cost carrier by changing its name after a well-publicized crash.

The FAA decided that it not longer gives a flying Fokker about the restricted airspace around the Bush ranch in Crawford, TX. Based on a request from the Secret Service, effective June 3rd, the FAA will significantly reduce the flight restrictions around the former President’s home and return the currently restricted airspace to public use.

Travel tip: if you get drunk in India and need  a place to crash and wait for your hangover, consider the closest aircraft engine.
