Early Bird Report: United Sees Pacific Recovery; Relatives of Air France 447 Victims Sue Airbus

• United Airlines CEO Glenn Tilton says the carrier’s Pacific flights are growing “at a higher level compared to our other international markets.” [Bloomberg]

Cape Air will codeshare with American Airlines on three routes out of St. Louis (STL): Cape Girardeau, Mo. (CGI), Quincy, Ill. (UIN) and Marion, Ill. (MWA)

• Two dozen relatives of Air France 447 victims who blame design faults in the A330 on Monday filed suit against Airbus and who’s who of American aircraft component manufacturers, including Honeywell, Motorola, Intel and GE. [Reuters]

• Etihad has begun nonstop flights between Abu Dhabi and Tokyo. They are the first Middle Eastern airline to offer direct flights to the Japanese capitol. [Gulf Daily News]
