American Airlines Cargo opened a new state-of-the-art cargo facility at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport on Monday.  The new terminal has more than 135,000 square feet of warehouse space, 24 dock doors and a high speed computerized Elevated Transfer Vehicle (ETV) handling system. Two 20 foot ETVs have a storage capacity equivalent to 385 upper-deck cargo positions.  The system features six dock doors for processing containerized cargo, three coolers for perishable products, an environment room and a live-animal handling area.
