Allegiant to Begin Flights Between Myrtle Beach and Three New Midwest Destinations

Continuing with their proven success of connecting popular tourist destinations with smaller markets, Allegiant Air announced that they will be offering service between Myrtle Beach International (MYR) in South Carolina and three Midwest airports: Fort Wayne, Ind. (FWA), Youngstown, Ohio (YNG), and Knoxville, Tenn. (TYS). Both Youngstown and Knoxville begin on April 22nd, with flights operating twice weekly, scheduled for Thursdays and Sundays. Fort Wayne begins on the 30th of April, and will also operate twice weekly, in this case operating on Mondays and Fridays.

Introductory fares from YNG and FWA start at $49.99 one way, with introductory one-way fares on the TYS route starting at $29.99. The airline stated that there are a highly limited number of $9.99 one-way fares available as well. The schedule for the flights is as follows (all flight times are local):

FWA-MYR DEP 16:40 ARR 18:30
TYS-MYR DEP 12:35 ARR 13:50
YNG-MYR DEP 14:05 ARR 15:45
MYR-FWA DEP 14:10 ARR 16:00
MYR-TYS DEP 16:25 ARR 17:40
MYR-YNG DEP 14:45 ARR 16:25

Service will be operated using MD-80 aircraft.
