Update: The flight has been confirmed as Flight 206 to Canton. AirTran says it will be accommodating passengers on later flights, however it should be noted they do not have any more flights scheduled for this evening. Hopefully they have an extra plane somewhere to get these folks home in time for Thanksgiving dinner. Runway 13 was closed for awhile but has reopened.
An AirTran flight aborted takeoff at LaGuardia Airport this evening after the crew received an indication of an engine fire.
Preliminary reports say the aircraft stopped safely with no visible fire, and that no one was injured.
The flight involved is unconfirmed at this time, but examinations of flight trackers and the AirTran website would seem to indicate Flight 206, a Boeing 717 service to Canton/Akron (CAK), is the only flight still on the ground in New York.
