Update: The flight has been confirmed as Flight 206 to Canton. AirTran says it will be accommodating passengers on later flights, however it should be noted they do not have any more flights scheduled for this evening. An AirTran flight aborted takeoff at LaGuardia Airport this evening after the crew received an indication of an engine fire.

Preliminary reports say the aircraft stopped safely with no visible fire, and that no one was injured.

Thanks be to God. My son was on that flight. Airtran really treated the passengers well and they got home Thursday morning safe and sound. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
